Data - Labour

General Labour data

ILOSTAT should be your first shot for aggregated data, however the major shortcoming is the infrequent update on data due to agency non-disclosure agreement/ technical issues, e.g. wage by industry is often updated to <2015 only.

Also, try World Bank (general data portal), World Bank (microdata catalogue), Eurostat and OECD before heading into the time-consuming alternative below.

Micro data

Alternative: National Statistics Office/Bureau/Agency. For example, National Surveys. Be it Labour Force Surveys (LFS) or Household Socio-economic Surveys microdata, there is a good chance you can find some (old) data available to public via the respective statistics agency.

National Statistics Office/Bureau/Agency

Big disclaimer: Not all countries are keen on making their microdata public. Data from OECD members are relatively easy to find on their national websites. Below I list some fortunate encounters I had:

Canada, CAN
Canada LFS; Canada Households and the Environment Survey ; Canada Survey of Household Spending (SHS) (incl. household income)
